Rachel McCallam is the Coordinator for the Discipleship and Ministries Learning Network Team in Yorkshire Plus. She lives in Sheffield and Wakefield with her husband Rob who is a probationer minister in the Wakefield area and their son Isaac. She loves being outdoors and running when she can, watching films and exploring spirituality, particularly offering spiritual accompaniment in the area.

Thanks to Rachel for this …. must say my prayers on #ParkRun are often of the more prosaic variety “Just give me the strength and energy to finish”. Maybe I need to “run wild” for a bit and move from the convenience of the treadmill to the communion with outdoors?

Wonderful Rachel, I love the thought of praying as I do something. Maybe not running however ( I am nowhere near fit enough) but maybe something else. Thank you. Beautifully presented piece.

Lovely, from a non-runner, I can relate to a lot of this, that need to find a sense of peace and to see, I loose myself in the landscape too bu tin a different way.
